My very first exploration into making textile art and using recycled fabrics was to make fish! Somewhat random I know but at the time I was deeply upset by all the devastation and pollution happening to the seas. Being a swimmer I think it was something I felt connected to and in some way I wanted my art to be a voice for the sea.
